Careers

A small, remote-first team in the United States operating six insurance companies at once. Two of the platforms are already carrying production traffic, so there is no staging environment where the stakes are pretend.

What it is like to work at a company that operates six businesses

The surface area is the job. So is the accountability that comes with it.

Most insurance technology companies own one layer and blame the others. Here, the lead that was generated, the call that worked it, the quote that was run, the agent who was contracted, and the product that was placed all belong to companies in the same group. That is a genuine advantage and a genuine discomfort: when a handoff breaks, there is nobody upstream to escalate to. The fix is ours, and so is the authority to make it.

It also means the work is unusually connected. A filter change in Solved Marketing shows up in contact rates on AgentTech the same week. A carrier rule encoded in Solved Enroll changes what Solved Solutions can promise a producer. An underwriting decision at Solved Insurance changes what acquisition can afford to pay. People who like that kind of feedback loop tend to stay; people who want a narrow slice of one product usually do not.

The pace is deliberately uneven. Insurance products move at the speed of regulators, so the product roadmap is planned around state approvals rather than around a launch date. Everywhere else, we move at the speed software allows. Knowing which of those two you are in on a given day is part of the craft.

Two platforms are in production with paying customers outside the group, 6 companies are operating or building, and Solved Enroll is onboarding private beta cohorts ahead of a 2027 public rollout. Read the company story for how it got that way.

How the team works

Remote-first across the United States, small enough that the person who ships a change is the person who explains it to a customer.

  • Remote-first, US-based. Work from wherever you are in the United States. Carrier, agency, and regulator work all runs on US business hours, so overlap matters more than a zip code.
  • Written before scheduled. Decisions land in writing so someone in another time zone can pick them up without a meeting. Calls happen when the writing is not enough.
  • Whole surfaces, not tickets. You own a piece of the chain end to end rather than a slice of someone else's backlog, and you carry it through the handoffs on either side of it.
  • We are our own first customer. Our agencies work our leads on our dialer and quote on our platform, so feedback arrives from colleagues before it arrives from a survey.
  • Compliance is a design constraint. Consent capture, recorded call review, Medicare marketing rules, and state filings are part of how a feature gets designed, not a review it has to survive at the end.
  • Every company carries its own weight. Each one is expected to earn its own customers, which keeps internal politics about revenue rather than about headcount.

Open roles

Across the group. There is no application portal: email us and a person reads it.

How to apply

Send a resume and a few sentences about what you have shipped, sold, priced, or filed to contact@solvedventures.io, with the role in the subject line. Applications go by email; there is no portal and no account to create. If none of these fit but you have operated a piece of this chain somewhere else, write anyway and tell us which layer you would want to own.

FAQs

Applying here

How do I apply?

By email. Send a resume and a short note to contact@solvedventures.io with the role name in the subject line. There is no application portal on this site, no account to create, and no timed assessment.

Which company would I actually work for?

Each role sits in one of the six operating companies, and the card says which one. Some roles are group roles that serve all of them, which is the case for shared platform, data, and compliance work. If a role reads like it belongs in two companies, say which one interests you and why.

Are these roles remote?

Yes. The team is remote-first and based in the United States. Carrier, agency, and regulator work all runs on US business hours, so overlap with the rest of the team matters more than a specific city.

Do I need insurance experience?

For the product, actuarial, compliance, and distribution roles, yes. Insurance rules and carrier behavior are difficult to pick up on the job. For engineering and data roles, strong systems work plus genuine interest in a regulated domain is enough, and you will learn the domain from people who sold the product before they built software for it.

What happens after I send the email?

A person on the team reads it. If there is a fit, the first conversation covers what you have actually shipped or sold, which piece of the chain you want to own, and compensation, so nobody spends four rounds discovering the range does not work.
